Lower Back Pain Information
Lower back pain can be caused by several different conditions. While most of these causes are musculoskeletal in nature, there are more serious medical conditions that will need to be addressed by a different type of specialists. Your chiropractor will be able to tell if your symptoms are musculoskeletal, and if so, will be able to treat your condition.
Lower back pain is exactly what it sounds like it would be; however, there will be some conditions, like sciatica, the where the pain might shoot down your leg. Conditions such as herniated discs will leave you with pain that increases the longer you stand. Other conditions can be quickly improved through a simple chiropractic adjustment. Only your chiropractor can help you identify the nature of your condition.
When it comes to lower back pain, the primary treatment is spinal manipulation. Massage is also very effective in most cases. Physical therapy exercises might be indicated in many of these cases. A visit to your chiropractor is a great choice when you are suffering from low back pain.
Treatment Expectations

Frequently Asked Questions
Chiropractic treatment for low back pain is considered to be relatively free of side effects. However, some patients do experience fatigue, headaches, or a slight increase in soreness during their first few treatments.
Every patient is different. Some patients feel significantly better after just a few treatments while other patients will need to remain in treatment for an extended period of time. Once you do start feeling better, you won’t have to get treated as frequently.
I have been seeing Dr. Scott for several years. He helped me through 2 awful car accidents. I would highly recommend him as he has helped me get back on my feet and now I only have to do check-ins a couple times a year(which is an improvement from daily after my accidents)! He is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to get to know you as a patient so that he can assist you with your recovery in the best way possible!

This guy is insanely good. Or maybe its because other chiropractors in Fort Collins are all so bad, but I went in with a dislocated rib and winged scapula and he loosened my spine up and went to work. I’m going in for a second session tomorrow but I already feel tremendous improvement in my back/shoulder. He doesn’t do light adjustments – he gets in there and fixes it with immense effectiveness (yes, the cracking will be loud).

Fantastic! Yesterday was my first time ever seeing a chiropractor. Dr. Scott is very knowledgable and is excitable to have conversation with. He definitely treated me like a patient (like a doctor should) but the conversations were also personal, which made me feel easy. There was an issue with my medical card so I had to pay for it with a gift card. Once I called the company and came back to the office, Dr. Scott was very quick to take care of the refund and charge the correct card. Not one minute was a bad experience. Thank you!
