Auto Injuries
If you’ve been in a car accident, you probably aren’t surprised to wake up stiff and sore the next day. You know that your body has been jolted around hard. Pain in your back and neck is particularly common; and as long as the pain resolves, you might not even think about it again. If the pain persists, however, you start looking for ways to combat it fast.
Lower Back Pain
Eighty percent of people suffer from back pain at some point in their lives. Back pain is the second most common reason for visits to the doctor’s office, outnumbered only by upper-respiratory infections. In fact, it is estimated that low back pain affects more than half of the adult population each year.
Shoulder Pain
Frozen shoulder, also known as adhesive capsulitis, is a malady that affects 2-3% of the population. Often the main indicator is initial pain in the joint and decreased mobility. Frozen shoulder can affect people of any age from children to adulthood, but is most commonly diagnosed in people ranging from 40 – 70 years of age, predominantly women.
Headaches & Migrains
Headaches affect just about everyone at some point and they can present themselves in many different ways. Some people only experience pain in one part of their head or behind their eyes, some people experience a pounding sensation inside their whole head, and some people even experience nausea, while others do not.
Whiplash & Neck Pain
Headaches affect just about everyone at some point and they can present themselves in many different ways. Some people only experience pain in one part of their head or behind their eyes, some people experience a pounding sensation inside their whole head, and some people even experience nausea, while others do not.
Fibromyalgia
Chiropractic care is critical for those who suffer from fibromyalgia in order to keep the spine and muscles from losing too much movement. Because fibromyalgia causes the muscles to tighten up and lose some of their natural pliability, it results in a global loss of movement in the spine. The loss of movement in the spine results in a neurological reflex that causes the muscles to tighten further.
Pinched Nerve
The term “pinched nerve” is somewhat of a catch-all phrase that is commonly used to describe the pain associated with a variety of conditions from subluxations, to tunnel syndromes to the referred pain from trigger points. Most of the time, what is called a pinched nerve is actually an irritated, or inflamed nerve where the nerve itself is not actually pinched.
Prenatal Care
During pregnancy, a woman’s center of gravity shifts forward to the front of her pelvis. This additional weight in front, causes stress to the joints of the pelvis and low back. As the baby grows in size, the added weight causes the curvature of her lower back to increase, placing extra stress on the fragile facet joints on the back side of the spine.
Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis in the knee and hip areas can be a very painful injury, and one that is often a chronic condition if left untreated. Chiropractic care for hip osteoarthritis and knee osteoarthritis can be very helpful for patients who have been unable to find relief from the pain in any other way.
Slipped Disc
You may have heard the term “slipped disc” used to describe a low back injury. Discs do not actually “slip”. Rather, they may herniate or bulge out from between the bones. A herniation is a displaced fragment of the center part or nucleus of the disc that is pushed through a tear in the outer layer or annulus of the disc. Pain results when irritating substances are released from this tear
Slipped Rib Misalignment
While Slipped Rib Syndrome is relatively rare, its symptoms can be terrifying in that they resemble a heart attack. The pain is a result of softening of the cartilage that attaches your ribs to the sternum. It is responsible for allowing movement of your upper body. The condition is also known as floating rib syndrome.
Sciatica
Sciatica is actually a sign that you have an underlying problem putting pressure on a nerve in your lower back. The most common cause of this nerve compression is a bulging or herniated lumbar disc. The piriformis is a muscle that lies directly over the sciatic nerve. If this muscle becomes tight or if you have a spasm in this muscle, it puts pressure directly on the sciatic nerve.
Scoliosis
Scoliosis is a sideways curve of the spine that causes stiffness and pain. It is called an idiopathic disease because the cause of it is unknown. Scoliosis is more common in females and begins in childhood. However, merely 2 percent of the population is afflicted. If it is detected early, scoliosis treatment will prevent it from worsening over time.
I have been seeing Dr. Scott for several years. He helped me through 2 awful car accidents. I would highly recommend him as he has helped me get back on my feet and now I only have to do check-ins a couple times a year(which is an improvement from daily after my accidents)! He is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to get to know you as a patient so that he can assist you with your recovery in the best way possible!

This guy is insanely good. Or maybe its because other chiropractors in Fort Collins are all so bad, but I went in with a dislocated rib and winged scapula and he loosened my spine up and went to work. I’m going in for a second session tomorrow but I already feel tremendous improvement in my back/shoulder. He doesn’t do light adjustments – he gets in there and fixes it with immense effectiveness (yes, the cracking will be loud).

Fantastic! Yesterday was my first time ever seeing a chiropractor. Dr. Scott is very knowledgable and is excitable to have conversation with. He definitely treated me like a patient (like a doctor should) but the conversations were also personal, which made me feel easy. There was an issue with my medical card so I had to pay for it with a gift card. Once I called the company and came back to the office, Dr. Scott was very quick to take care of the refund and charge the correct card. Not one minute was a bad experience. Thank you!
